Grab Bag of Random Posts
Posted by AFCA 1900 on 1st May 2003 09:28 AM
We used to have a Grab Bag of Random Posts on our old dicsussion forum. I decided to create such a thread again because, you know, sometimes you just read these funny things...

How 'bout this, for example?

Pascal Nouma, striker of Turkish top side Besiktas (Istanbul), has been fired by his club for the way he celebrated a goal. Moreover, the Turkish F.A. handed him a suspension of seven months. The striker scored against city rivals Fenerbahce last week and celebrated his goal by taking of his shirt and sliding his hand into his shorts, apparently holding his genitals. He was fired almost immediately after the game. Even several Turkish politicians commented on the incident and unanimously agreed that this way of cheering was not in accordance with the tradition and culture of Turkey. Nouma has given notice of appeal against the penalties.

Bizarre...

Pascal Nouma.....the guy is french so I should pity him...But he's a silly guy, always doing something funny or disrespectful.

He's old now and doesn't socre that much these times.
Maybe it's a sign for him.. He should put an end to his career.

Yesterday I made my now traditional little trip to "Le Port d'Amsterdam" in Paris where many many (countless  ) people had gathered to celebrate Holland match AND Queen's Day.

They were all clad in "oranje", partying, laughing, cheering, drinking, really good atmosphere...... But I never would have guessed that you dutch guys were that deep in crappy-tacky-wacky mainstream techno music (at least the part of dutch people I saw there)....Damn I've been fed up with it yesterday !!!!

I hope these weird custodies are just celebrating obligations :hmmm:   :alien:

Menno givent that you're a music journalist can you explain me that ????

Oh man, don't get me started... Ugly, moronic, silly techno music is a Dutch specialty. Particularly in football. You can also buy Ajax CD's filled with that crap. Why we love it? Don't ask. No idea. I think it's just a lack of taste.

Crap music but very "festive" I must say...... I won't lump you all together anyway don't worry, I guess they're just gluttons for Paaaaahhhh-TAAAYYYYYY !!!!!

AFCA 1990 - You're living in Amsterdam right?
Can you - or anyone else - tell me if it is possible to by Ajax-vidoes?
I've been looking for a long time, but haven't found any tapes or dvds.
I'm have interest in all kind of Ajax videos, but especially "season movies" with all the goals - does Ajax make these kind of videos?.

What's with you ??? Please be polite with me and explain
the reason of your angriness.

In my opinion, the guy who insults first is the stupid guy and the one who shows his limits......

Have a nice day.

Eh, I don't really think he was reffering to you Bertrand but to Nouma's tendency to grab his.....no need to get upset.

from eurosport.com:

"UEFA have fined Man. United coach Alex Ferguson ê7,375 for remarks suggesting the Champions League 1/4 final draw has been rigged"

THANK YOU! I have real problems liking that guy.

No don't take it bad Per. I don't take it THAT WAY....I just told you that I Do think the guy was making BAD fun of me that's all.

I didn't mean to show you disrespect in any way.

Hope I make it clear this time.

PS : However thank you for the diplomatic try, which is always worth it.
