I watch a German Video satellite channel called VIVA - it is excellent as it has a mix of german videos and British/USA releases. They never censor the videos - so anything controversial will be played endlessly on it!!
One German singer that really caught my music ear was Xavier Naidu - what a sad video it was - did you see it - I think it was about a man drowning, and he is on this massive lake. Superb song - very sad and haunting.
They play a lot of Rammstien, Manowar, Eminem (fab!), it's a fab channel.

There are actually two VIVA channels, both called errr.... VIVA!!
The one I like best is the video selection thing, where you phone up for your favourite video - they list 100. Unfortunately, as I am in the UK it wont accept international calls - actually, that's probably a good think as I would be bankrupt by now! It's called Get The Clip and runs from midday to 9pm - is that the one you watch? There is a 10 minute advert break every 3rd song which can get a bit tedious.

I usually watch it whenever I can.. I'll watch anything on VIVA... that's even where I found out about Party Animals... I watch alot of Videos in general and movies, so I'm willing to watch any song in any language as long as it's a good song.

I'm going to take clips out of it and make an avatar from it... kind of like the ones with Madonna in them, but with this band. It's called Oomph! and the lead singer is Dero. They were all born in Wolfsburg Germany and Dero has a degree in English from the University of Munich.

German bands have more emotion in their music than any other rock bands (does not apply to Pop) and I just refuse to d/l and burn any German music....
