Hi Per,
The only thing I can tell you is that he has not appeared for Young Ajax ( reserves ) as yet, not even in 2 friendlies they played against amatuer teams back in January.
Therefore he is being played at Youth level for the A1 team. I will leave our expert Menno to find out more.
Whilst I am on here can you confirm whether Kwame Quanseh is going to play for AIK when your season starts soon ? I know he was on a year loan to AIK

I couldn't make it to the Olympic Stadium after all. The Ajax Saturday guys could have used my support, tho... They were demolished by the score of 0-3 by SHO. They're back in relegation trouble now.
Anyway - there's better news, too:
Danny Blind's Ajax A1 team qualified for the semi final of the Dutch cup for A-youth teams by beating Excelsior A1 at De Toekomst. No less than nine goals were scored: 6-3. Ajax was the dominant team throughout the game, but they had some problems with Excelsior's defensive strategy. They only had one big chance before Excelsior surprisingly took the lead in the 26th minute. The referee made a mistake he later admitted: he gave Excelsior an indirect free-kick inside the penalty area because goalkeeper Kenneth Vermeer let the ball bounce twice on the grass, before picking it up. The referee thought this is not allowed, but it is. Anyway: Excelsior scored from the free-kick.
Luckily, Ajax started scoring soon: 1-1 by Stanley Aboraa, 2-1 by Juri Heskes and 3-1 by Rachid Tiberkanine. The half-time score was 3-1. After the break Hedwiges Maduro and Cees Keizer made it 5-1 in the 63rd and 64th minutes.
Ajax started 'freewheeling' in a rather nonchalant way, so that Excelsior got to pull two goals back (both times Danique Soares was the scorer). But Ajax had the last word: Måns Sörensson pushed a free-kick against the netting to make it 6-3.
The draw for the semi-finals took place immediately after the game. Ajax was paired with Willem II A1 (away). The date for that game is yet to be confirmed, but will probably be 27 March. The other semi-final: AZ vs feyenerd.

Ajax A1 has failed to make it to the final of the Dutch Cup competition for A youth teams - and according to a report on Ajax.nl the Amsterdammers only had themselves to blame. Danny Blind's men were far superior to Willem II A1 throughout the game and took a 1-0 on the 30 minute mark, as Hedwiges Maduro fired home on a Rachid Tiberkanine corner kick.
In the remaining 60 minutes Ajax failed to double the score and even gave the lead away three minutes into stoppage time. Ajax didn't even get to kick off anymore. No goals were scored in extra time, so that a penalty shoot-out had to bring the decision. The Willem II goalkeeper was in great form during 120 minutes of football and kept it up during the shoot-out: he stopped three Ajax penalties, so that the Tilburgers ended up claiming a slot in the final. Their opponent will be feyenoord a1, who beat AZ A1 in Alkmaar by the score of 1-2.
So, let's grab the league then.

The first Ajax champions of the season are the D1 and D2 teams, who both clinched the championship in their respective leagues on the same day. The D1 (coached by Robin Pronk) did so by beating Volendam D1 by the score of 0-4, whereas the D2 (coached by Heini Otto) won their away fixture at Hoofddorp: 1-3.
We'll see these boys on 09 May, as we'll get to applaud all Ajax youth champions during thje half-time break of the last home game of the season (against NAC Breda). They will make a 'lap of honour' around the pitch on that occasion, which is an old Ajax tradition.

As far as I've understood an article at Ajax Nerwerk it looks like Ajax A1 were second in the international tournament in Spain. They have beaten Barca 2-1, lost to Real Sociedad 0-1, crushed Athletic Club (was it Bilbao?) 5-0 and in final match lost to Osasuna 0-1. Maduro was named "the best player" and Danni Blind "the best coach".

You understood that article very well indeed. A fine peformance by the lads, although it seems like they could have done better in the final. I mean: no club in Spain has such a prestigious youth academy as Athletic Bilbao. They want their team to consist of Bask players, so they develop the large part of their team themselves. If Ajax can beat them and Barcelona, it should have been possible to also brush Osasuna aside, I would say... Or do they have such great youth teams...?
Anyhoo - very well done. I'm sure they've done some 'Ajax promotion' in Spain.

The championship is coming closer for Ajax A1: Danny Blind's boys had a tough game against lowly Emmen A1, but managed a win after all (2-1). The scorers for Ajax were Ryan Babel and Hedwiges Maduro (penalty). Runners-up AZ A1 dropped two points in Tilburg, at Willem II A1: 2-2. The gap between Ajax and AZ is now five points. Feyenoord are third, seven points behind Ajax. There are four more games to play in the National A-Youth Eredivisie.

Ajax A1 is almost there...
Danny Blind's men won their game at ADO Den Haag A1 today, by the impressive score of 0-5. The 'big man' on the side of Ajax was Ryan Babel, who netted three times. At half-time Ajax was already up by 0-4. Babel scored his first one after only 24 second, doubled the score in the 12th minute and made it 0-4 in the 39th. In between Hedwiges Maduro scored Ajax's third from a penalty. The Amsterdammers added only one goal in the second half, courtesy of Tom Kalkhuis.
Ajax's only remaining competitor for the championship is AZ A1. The Alkmaar side once again dropped points, so that Ajax now requires three points from the remaining three games. A matter of time, you'd say.
The table now looks like this:
Ajax 23-56
AZ 23-49
Feyenoord 22-44
PSV 23-41
Willem II 23-37
sc Heerenveen 23-34
ADO Den Haag 23-30
Twente/Heracles 23-29
Vitesse 23-26
FC Utrecht 23-25
Sparta 23-24
NEC 23-23
FC Den Bosch 22-15
Emmen 23- 9

Yet more champions!
Ajax E1 clinched the title in their league by beating Geuzen/Middenmeer by the score of 1-4. Congrats, Ajacieden!
We will see all of these kids, including Ajax F1, D1, D2 and E1, do a lap of honour around the pitch during the half-time break of the season's last home game for the first team. A great Ajax tradition.

Will it ever stop...?
Today's fixture between Ajax A1 and feyenoord a1 was a special one for two reasons. Firstly, it was the first youth game between teams of the two clubs since the 'De Toekomst riots' and it was therefore played at the ArenA, instead of De Toekomst (for security reasons).
Secondly, it was the championship winner for Danny Blind's men, who have had a very, very good season. And they did it in style, beating the arch-rival by 5-2 (after having had a 4-0 lead). Goals for Ajax A1 were scored by Ryan Babel (2), Robbert Schilder, Jerghinio Sahadewsing and Gerard Aafjes.
This is a prestigious title for the highest Ajax youth team. Congratulations, guys. Very well done. We'll see you in the ArenA next weekend for a lap of honour!

Every year at season's end there is a special Ajax party at De Toekomst where, traditionally, the Youth Player of the Year is presented. This award gets more prestigious by the year, because the winner always seems to actually make it in the following season or two. Previous winners, for example, were Johnny Heitinga, Rafaël van der Vaart, Wesley Sneijder and Nigel de Jong.
This year most of the votes went to Hedwiges Maduro. We will surely see more of this chap in the next few years.
